Frequently asked questions about the gold price
Why is the price shown as a range?
Two pieces with the same hallmark rarely contain exactly the same amount of gold. The lower figure applies to every piece of the karat our test shows; the higher figure is for pieces with full gold content, confirmed by measurement.
How do you check purity?
With an acid test and precision weighing at the shop, in front of you. When needed, we confirm the gold content with a spectrometer reading, available within a few minutes.
How much will I get for a 14-karat piece?
Net weight multiplied by the per-gram price in the table. The calculator on this page does it for you: pick the karat, enter the grams and see the amount. Stones and other metals are deducted from the weight.
How often does the price change?
Our prices follow the international gold price and refresh automatically every minute while markets are open. A written offer from us is valid for the same day.
